Make a Restricted Gift

The Fund receives grants from a variety of foundations and other funds who sometimes stipulate how and where the grant is to be spent.  For instance, funding may be restricted to children who have sickle cell disease or cancer, or to children living in a particular county or state.

You too have the option of donating $500 or more and specifying where you would like your gift to be used.

Perhaps you are interested in providing a gift for us to assist a single parent struggling with the care of a seriously ill child with a higher level of support, or maybe you would like your donation to be focused on a household where a child is cared for on a ventilator and other kinds of medical equipment.  These kinds of severe situations would be greatly impacted if we were able to provide a higher level of financial support made possible through your generosity.

The following are a few more ways in which you can control the direction of your gift by specifying it to be used to assist:

  • that a child with a particular disease receives your donation
  • a family living in a specific geographic region (such as the city or county where you live or your state or region)
  • a household where unemployment has occurred because of a parent's inability to report to work while caring for a critically ill child
  • a family with a particular bill (gas, electric, phone, car repair, rent, etc.)
  • with the purchase of handicap equipment, handicap home renovations, or special disease related camp fees

The Fund will utilize 10% of your donation to cover our administrative costs.  All donations are 100% tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
