35 Years of Providing Help and Hope to Families in Need
Our story started with one little girl. . .and the gift of her life inspired a mission that has touched almost 20,000 families in need.
Our Anniversary Celebration was held Sunday, October 23, at the beautiful
Crystal Tea Room in Center City Philadelphia. Participants enjoyed Monte Carlo games and danced to the tunes of the Jump City Jazz orchestra. Raffle items won included mini-vacations, Flyers tickets and memorabilia, a flat-screen TV, a Kindle Fire, and jewelry.
We were honored to present John and Aileen Crowley with Kelly's Caring Award. John and Aileen and their three children, John Jr., Megan, and Patrick, have been chasing miracles of modern science since 1998, when Megan and Patrick were diagnosed with a genetic disorder known as Pompe disease. John Crowley raised more than $100 million to launch biotechnology companies to develop a cure. The 2010 major motion picture Extraordinary Measures, starring Harrison Ford, Brendan Fraser, and Keri Russell, was inspired by the Crowleys' story.
Our sincerest thanks go to Lisa Siegel and the 35th Anniversary Celebration Committee for planning the evening; Jennifer Lawn for beautifully decorating the room; Chuck Adams and his assistants for taking pictures; and everyone who attended or donated to the event. Your support of our mission is appreciated more than you can know.
We are grateful to the generous foundation and corporate sponsors of the event:
