The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund advocates for
families with seriously ill, physically and cognitively challenged, or severely
injured children nationwide through information and education. Financial
assistance for needs not covered by insurance and other assistance programs are provided to families whose children are living in or cared for in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware.
Families in crisis are referred to us by an extensive network of social
workers, case managers, physical therapists, and healthcare professionals within
hospitals, medical facilities, social service agencies, and treatment
centers. The Fund has assisted more than 22,000 families in 37 years of operation. We help keep the lights on, pay a phone bill,
fill a family’s oil tank, pay the rent, purchase handicap equipment, or provide some comfort with assistance for funeral expenses.
If you are a healthcare professional and you would like to make a referral, please click Log In above to register on our site. To learn more about the full scope of our services to help families, read about our Programs. Also, check our FAQ page for answers to commonly asked questions.
Our Story When Kelly Anne Dolan was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, her parents Peggy and Joe learned how the serious illness of a child can affect an entire family—emotionally, physically, and financially. After six-year-old Kelly lost her battle with the disease in 1976, Peggy and Joe created the Fund to help families dealing with the illness or disability of a child. Learn more about the Dolans' story in this short video, produced by Center City Film and Video when Peggy received the Please Touch Museum's Great Friend to Kids Award.

A child with a breathing disorder like asthma or cystic fibrosis requires climate control—excessive heat can cause a crisis that can send a child to the hospital. We can provide air conditioners to families and avert this kind of emergency. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to help Ben and his family.

Creative Ways to Contribute The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund participates in the United Way's donor option program (for United Way of
Southeastern Pennsylvania, use donor option number 03972). We also participate in the Combined Federal Campaign
for Southeastern Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley Areas, South Jersey,
and Delaware (use campaign number 66587). And did you know that you can benefit KADMF by searching the web using GoodSearch? Or by switching to Verizon? Find out more about these other ways to give.
American Red Cross We are honored to be able to include the insignia for the American Red Cross Blood Services on our website, because Kelly Anne Dolan and her sister Kim relied on the generosity and kindness of blood donors throughout their illness. They, like so many children diagnosed with blood disorders, leukemia, and other forms of cancer, required regular transfusions for their treatments and to get beyond a crisis. Kelly Anne and Kim were transfused as often as 15 times a month—approximately 700-800 units of blood products during the course of their illness.
How can you thank a blood donor? The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund was established as a way to "give back" to the more than 700 blood donors who allowed the Dolan family time to enjoy Kelly Anne and who also made it possible for Kim to live long enough to find a cure. Blood donors are our heroes! We can't thank them enough!
The need for blood is ongoing. Please consider making a donation soon, if not today! See our Resources and Links page for more information about the Red Cross.

Another World At a recent fundraiser I was suddenly struck with the
thought that, while standing in the midst of an elegant event, surrounded by
relaxed and happy partygoers, great food, music and dancing, a stark contrast
existed just a few miles away in two separate children’s hospitals.
