Phils Tavern 5K Run
Save the date! On July 15, 2009, the Ambler Area Running Club hosts the 10th annual Phils 5K, this year held to benefit the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund. Expect a competitive but friendly 5K, a kids fun run, great camaraderie, and an unforgettable feast provided by Phils Tavern afterward.

The Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund is dedicated to the uninsured needs of families caring for terminally, critically and chronically ill, seriously disabled or severely injured children through advocacy, education, information and financial assistance. By working directly with healthcare
professionals social workers, case managers, nurses
and therapists throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware areas, patients and their
families' needs are made known to the Fund through
a simple application process. Requests for assistance are generally processed within 24 to 72
hours in the form of payments to creditors (or for donation of
goods). This simple method of operation assures eligibility for assistance
and avoids the misappropriation of funds. The programs of the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund help strengthen families, improve their quality of life and promote self-sufficiency.
Through
the National Caring Awards, the Caring
Institute seeks to identify, honor and reinforce the activities
of particularly caring Americans, those who ennoble the human race by
transcending self in service to others. In 2004, the 17th year of
conferring the Awards, Peggy Dolan, the Executive Director of the Kelly
Anne Dolan Memorial Fund, numbered among the recipients.
